About the Programme

The Certificate in Ministry is designed as a foundational course for people serving their local church. It covers a wide range of knowledge and skills from New Testament Survey, Theology and Hermeneutics to Leadership, Preaching and Church Growth.

Delivered as a series of block courses or evening classes, this course was developed to have a minimum impact on everyday life and full-time employment. The whole course is concentrated into twelve weekend learning periods over three years, plus self directed study and assignments. The weekends feature excellent speakers, awesome worship and wonderful fellowship. This course allows people to up-skill and broaden their knowledge without interrupting their busy lives.

Entry Requirements
You must

  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Supply Pastoral references and have an interview
  • Have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (International Students only)

Applicants whose first language is not English will be interviewed to assess their level of English competency and may be required to complete a placement indicator test.

Job Opportunities
Many students are already working in their local church in a paid or voluntary position. Graduates maybe eligible to be ordained subject to the requirements of their denomination.
