About the Programme

The Diploma in Christian Leadership (Executive) is designed with Pastors in mind. Entry is restricted to experienced Pastors only, which allows for rich and relevant discussion throughout the course and ‘cross-pollination’ of ideas with others in full-time ministry.
The Executive programme is delivered through a mixture of block courses and self directed study. Participants join with Pastors from a variety of denominations at block courses four times per year and further develop their knowledge and skills in areas including strategic leadership, leading change, developing future leaders, pastoral ministry, preaching and more.
The courses are delivered by a variety of lecturers providing a blend of significant ministry experience and theological training. We have committed ourselves to securing ‘expert’ guest lecturers in the fields of leadership and ministry to speak at each block course.
Twelve courses in total are required to gain the qualification. Pastors may start the qualification at any one of the block courses during the three year cycle.

Entry Requirements
You must:

  • Be a Pastor and have been in fulltime ministry for at least three years. People with significant ministry experience in non-ordained leadership can apply for exemption which should be supported by written references from their Pastors or Supervisor
  • Have a Diploma in Ministry or similar
  • Show evidence of an ability to study at diploma level (previous study, transcripts, or sufficient work experience will all be taken into consideration)
  • Have an academic IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (International students only)

Applicants whose first language is not English will be interviewed to assess their level of English competency and may be required to complete a placement indicator test
